Exciting as the Internet is, it's not always easy to imagine that there's a physical reality behind the virtual one. We've created this section of our website to let you know that we are actual people who write the articles here, (Connie), work on graphics and art (Joyce), select the things you see on these pages, organize and ship your order. We can also do physical things like answer your questions and help you in other ways.
Until recently we ran a physical-reality store in New York City; then four years ago one of our dreams came true. We left New York City to live in upstate New York near Woodstock. Our nearest neighbors are deer, wild turkey, and the occasional bear. As much as we love our wilderness paradise, we found that we missed daily interaction with customers. Gradually the idea of an online store began to attract us, and a new dream was born.
In choosing a name for this dream we considered some of our favorite words: angelic, celestial, and came up with rainbow. Rainbows have powerful personal associations for us; on one vacation in County Mayo, Ireland, we found that we could ask to have a rainbow appear with instant results. We found this to be a beautiful symbol for the ability to make our dreams come true.
Then we thought of that most-beloved movie, The Wizard of Oz, and the song Over the Rainbow.
For us the worlds Beyond the Rainbow are the invisible and magical realms both within us and without where we find the ability to make our dreams come true and to create a shared vision of global transformation.

Connie is a double Sagittarian with Moon in Pisces and no earth in her chart. She marvels that she mastered the HTML coding and other mysteries of the Internet. She has enjoyed writing the articles for Beyond the Rainbow. She spends her noncomputer time painting in watercolor. (She just sold her first!) She loves teaching Reiki, Bach Flower Remedy counseling, and watching wild baby animals grow up. Joyce is a Capricorn with Moon in Libra, Leo rising and loads of earth. The act of mastering Photoshop in order to present pictures of our products to you killed off a few brain cells. She, too, gets great joy as a teacher of Reiki and as a Flower Remedy counselor. Her own flower garden gives her great pleasure, as do her drama and improvisation workshops. Joyce made her debut this year on stage in Woodstock to a most responsive audience. |
Binx, born in 1985, was a feral kitten who has maintained her wild spirit. This regal lioness reminds us that cats were once worshipped, and reminds the other cats who's in charge. She participates fully in all Reiki sessions and workshops.
Bridey came to us in early 2000 as an older kitten who had been seriously mistreated. She has since learned to trust, and it's been a joy to witness the blossoming of her loving spirit. Though she doesn't like camera, we tricked her by using a digital camera for the photo below.
Brendan died on January 17, 2000. We have created a tribute page for this special cat who made all visitors and students feel welcome to his home.

Duffy and Gracie were found with their mother and siblings in a dry well when they were two days old. They were lovingly fostered until they were about 10 weeks old, and then came to our house, which they decided was in need of massive interior decorating, rearranging of crystals, and festive touches such as shredded tissues.
They spend much time in the office, where Gracie supervises printing operations, and both of them check incoming email.
