Whale:

When Native Americans speak of Whale as record keepers they are referring to the kind of knowledge which the psychoanalyst Carl Jung called the collective unconscious. This is the ancient wisdom which is stored within each of us. It is the material from which myths come, whether they are from Greece, Asia, or are modern myths such as Star Wars.
Whale expresses much of its wisdom through sound. The song of the humpback whale is well-known for its haunting quality, although we humans have much more work to do in order to be able to understand it.
People who are particularly attuned to Whale medicine find that music can stir their memories of ancient wisdom. Though probably any kind of music can awaken this memory there is a certain power of activation in the sound of drums and pipes, instruments with ancient histories of their own. Some say that the sounds of crystal bowls also stir unconscious memories.
In the Wild Earth Animal Essence series Whale is considered to be an advanced remedy. It is recommended not so much for emotional healing as for those who wish to consciously and intentionally go on spiritual journeys of exploration.
Through the rhythm and patterns of sound Whale teaches us to hear our inner voices, to be in touch with our personal truths, and thus to know the wisdom and feel the heartbeat of the universe.
